Code Of Ethics

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

In the simplest terms, ethics is the study of the universal and generally accepted value judgments in human relations. Whereas business ethics is a combination of principles developed for guiding our behaviours in the business world.
Core values and principles of Zensa Granit Mermer San. Ve Tic. Ltd. Şti guide our rules of business ethics as well as shaping our expectations, standards and ethical practices that are the foundations of all our business relationships and transactions.

CONFIDENTIALITY:

  • Unauthorized use of personal and financial information of the customers, suppliers and employees / use of such information for purposes not related to the work is strictly forbidden (excluding disclosure of information and documents required by the authorized persons or organizations listed in the law and other regulations).
  • The personnel can neither share the information they obtain and documents they acquire through course of their work with unauthorized internal and external persons and organizations for any reason whatsoever nor use the same for speculative purposes (directly or through third parties).
  • The personnel cannot share any information, which should be known only by them, with internal and external parties.
  • The employees shall abstain from criticizing the general policies of Zensa Granit Mermer San. Ve Tic. Ltd. Şti in a manner that will be detrimental to the company prestige.
  • The employees cannot discuss work related matters outside the work and cause any incident that might lead to any speculation and negative conclusions.
  • If an employee leaves his/her job at the company for any reason whatsoever, such employee’s responsibility to protect the personal data of the customers shall continue.  Taking the confidential information out of the company, sharing it with the third parties or using such type of information for external personal affairs are forbidden.
USING COMPANY ASSETS AND RESOURCES:

Properties, assets, equipment, vehicles, computers, computer programs and similar items owned by the company and entrusted to the employees for completing their daily tasks cannot be used by the employees for their personal gains or for personal gains of others.
The company telephones, personal computers, photocopiers and fax machines, supplies, postal services, e-mails, bulletin boards and meeting rooms are primarily provided for company use only. Using the aforementioned resources or other company resources for personal purposes might interrupt information flow which is a vital aspect of our business.
The company telephone and company address, e-mail, internal communication and messaging systems should not be used for personal messages and conversations. The personal phone calls should be brief.
When using the resources on behalf of Zensa Granit Mermer San. Tic. Ltd. Şti, we prioritize the interests of the company and carefully protect the company assets. We avoid losing, damaging the group assets as well as avoiding improper use and waste of such assets. If the company interests are not involved, we do not use the company assets and means for any purpose other than the company affairs under any circumstances, in the name of and to the benefit of any party.

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS THE EMPLOYEES:

Unethical behaviours and behaviours that are against our working principles shall not be accepted or tolerated under any circumstances. Protecting the respectability and success of Zensa Granit Mermer San. Ve Tic. Ltd. Şti is the duty of each and every employee.
Each employee must do his/her best, professionally, to meet the demands of the internal and external customers related to his/her area of responsibility and scope of work. Furthermore, the employees should work productively and contribute to the journey of reaching personal goals, departmental goals, company goals as well as meeting the customer requirements.

RESPECT IN THE WORKPLACE AND PROFESSIONAL LIFE:

Şti is to be respectful, thoughtful and sensible when approaching our employees and to create an environment that will contribute to assuring uninterrupted communication at every level. We encourage our employees to discuss work problems transparently and come up with solutions for overcoming these problems.
Promoting a company-wide team spirit as well as preserving and improving our company’s corporate identity should be embraced as the common goals. All our employees are responsible for creating and maintaining an atmosphere embodying all the values mentioned in the present guidelines in the workplace.

The company personnel should not disturb each other in the common areas (including shuttle buses) provided to the employees. Posters, handwritten notes and flyers should not be hanged on such areas, unless permitted by the management, and these areas should not be used for selling goods and services.

ATTITUDES / BEHAVIOURS AND APPEARANCE

As an employee of Zensa Granit Mermer San. Ve Tic. Ltd. Şti, we must all have clean and carefully selected clothes at the workplace and a way of dressing appropriate for the professional life; we must be good-humoured, attentive and respectful when communicating with everyone.
We must be the best representatives of Zensa Granit Mermer San. Tic. Ltd. Şti with our behaviours and appearances. This principle is the key of improving customer relations and increasing our organization’s prestige and reputation, and we must follow this principle to the letter.
Creating a company-wide team spirit, protecting and improving the company’s image are the common goals having a key role at the workplace and in the private lives of all employees.
In our external relationships, we must equally respect all our customers, potential customers and    communities we serve. This requires providing services gently as well as complying with the ethical business principles, all laws and regulations. As the employees of a customer-driven organization, we are responsible for acting in a way that will leave a positive impression about Zensa Granit Mermer San. Ve Tic. Ltd. Şti.
We must comply with the strictest integrity standards throughout our daily operations as well as giving a hundred and ten percent to do our job for the purpose of achieving our company goals and objectives. We must effectively manage our time during the office hours and our personal affairs should be brief and at times that will not interrupt the customer transactions.

ATTENDANCE:

Our employees must comply with the office hours confirmed for their workplaces as well as using the personnel attendance monitoring systems (facial recognition, fingerprint scanner etc.) when entering-exiting the premises. The employees must be at their posts during the office hours.
If an employee leaves his/her office for any reason whatsoever, such employee must notify his/her superior about his/her whereabouts or inform his/her closest co-worker who shall report to their superior.
If an employee needs to leave the office for work purposes, s/he must notify his/her superior about the place s/he will go and his/her out-of-the-office hours.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY:

The Company must provide the best OHS conditions to all its employees as well as training them and delivering equipment. On the other hand, the employees must attend to all related trainings and take all precautions related to this subject matter. All employees must notify their superiors in writing / verbally about possible dangers/risks noticed at the workplace and/or fill out the “Near Miss” forms.  The OHS and Human Resources Management Departments and persons in charge of the related processes are responsible for sharing the lessons to be taken from the work accidents experienced on site. The Employees must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Policy of Zensa Granit Mermer San. Ve Tic. Ltd. Şti as well as details referred to in the related regulation.
OHS incidents are transparently reported to the related authorities in accordance with the regulation and company policies/principles.
